If you’ve visited our region (Provincia di Grosseto – Maremma Tuscany – between Capalbio, Grosseto, Follonica, Cinigiano and Arcidosso), you’ll have seen how beautiful and fragile the area is. You’ll also have seen how roads, new hotels and new buildings are spoiling the landscape.

Every year, there is more development, meaning that the area gets less peaceful, more polluted and more industrial.
Unfortunately, a lot of this damage is done in the name of tourism. Misguided politicians think that what tourists want is more roads and big hotels.
We love having tourists and visitors in our region. But we know from speaking to you that you come here for the natural beauty, not buildings and motorways!
You can help us preserve this region, so that it stays beautiful for visitors and locals alike. All you need to do is leave comments below about your stay, and your views as a tourist on all the building and development that’s happening.
We’ll make sure this gets seen by local politicians, so that they can see the need to preserve the area for future visitors.

It is a pity to see that this very beautiful part of Toscany is under threat.
My wife and I visited the area en concluded that the roads are quiet and nice. So we cannot imagine the need of more roads. Keep your native land clear of unnecessary infrastructure. Also factories should not be founded in fragile areas like the Maremma.
Another time we would like to come back in Toscany, please don’t spoil it.
Mi sono imbattuto per caso in questo blog e leggendo mi sono detto allora esistono ancora delle visioni intelligenti del territorio, si perche’ piu’ mi giro intorno e piu’ noto il silenzio ma non quello della maremma ma quello
di alcune persone e di alcuni enti che invece di opporsi a scelte scellerate (non tutti ma bastano pochi per fare danno) favoriscono la demenza senile degli ultimi arrivati.Conosco ragazzi che come me non conoscono la diaccia botrona non sono mai stati al parco dell’uccellina ecc. pur abitandoci da anni, altre persone nella medesima situazione magari te le ritrovi in politica a fare proposte sbagliate senza che nessuno gli dica nulla forse e’ anche mancanza di informazione o di interesse visto che tanti si riversano nei locali alla “milanese” pubblicizzando esclusivamente divertimento e tendenze o tanti che vengono da fuori riconoscono nella maremma solo le spiagge d’agosto ignorando tutto il resto, poi chiaramente se costruiscono nelle campagne falsi annessi decorati tipo villa del palladio con 4 piante di olivo rinseccolite o costruiscono megarecidence tipo riviera adriatica con tanto di lampioni e lucine che sembrano degli aereoporti senza aerei, non ci stupiamo! Cerchiamo di fermare queste boiate senno’ davvero ci ritroveremo nella melma ma non del palude!
